This site was lovingly created to preserve and cherish the memories of our beautiful little angel Madeline Renee Reimer.  Miss Maddy made her debut, along with her twin brother Luke,into this world on June 6th, 2005.  We had her sweet presence for almost 8 weeks. The memory of Madeline will be forever ingrained in our minds and our hearts.  Our precious daughter gently took an angel's hand and was guided  home on July 22nd, 2005 and is deeply missed.

Mother's Love

Our best friend in youth.  Our caregive, when we are sick.Care wthout boundaries, our Mother's Love. A friend with no limits.

Our Childhood protector. Always Aware of our trouble, before we utter a word Our fears are know to her, for they are her own.  How beatuiful that name "Mother"... comfort in Tangible form. We belong to her, just as she is part of us, half of that which we call a heart.

Her love....unconditional. Her strength unwavering. Her kiss tucks us in at night, as her touch eases our fever.  We are everything with her in our lives: yet even when she is gone, her strength flows in our veins.

That strength is our Mother's Love

Madeline passed away from an equal opportunity destroyer bacteria called MRSA. It took her life before she ever even had a chance to live. This superbug is something that is becoming an epidemic, one that before Madeline I had never even heard of. Please read more about Madeline under her Legacy. Her time on earth was much too brief but her memory will forever live on.

Madeline's Angel Day
which was July 22nd,2006.
We gathered our loved ones and  had a time of remembrance During this day we shed tears and shared precious moments. We reflected on her short, yet so meaningful life. I as her mother I feel so blessed to of had the time I did with her, and I am forever changed because of her. As her Angel Date became closer I felt my heart ache and it was so hard to think it had been a year since I held that precious baby.
 This Angel Day was a day of honoring our Miss Maddy. 
We held an intimate candle lighting ceremony. Each candle had a small picture of Maddy, as well as a word to describe her, such as sweet pea or princess. Our loved ones all came up and lit a candle and signed a picture of her. 
Our 15 year old Zachary read a beautiful poem and then we had a butterfly release.   
We are so thankful our loved ones were here to help support us as we remembered Miss Maddy.

This Quilt was made out of love by my mom and myself. It contains pieces of material from Madeline's dresses and other clothing of hers. I wanted it to be framed so that I can enjoy it for many years to come. With each peice that was sown in, there is a memory to that piece. It means the world to me that my Mom helped me make this quilt.



This little dress holds a special place in my heart for it is the dress Miss Maddy wore for her one and only outing. The outing was to the doctors and to the store. Maddy looked like an angel in this outfit.

He Only Took My Hand  / Mom

Last night while I was sleeping, my daughter's voice I did hear

I opened my eyes and looked in her room
But Madeline didn't appear

She said:
"Mom you've got to listen,you've got to understand
God didn't take me from you, he only took my hand

When I called out in pain that night, he instantly reached down,
took my hand and pulled me gently to his side,
lifted me up and saved me from all the misery and pain inside.
My body hurt so badly, I could never be the same

My search is really over now
I've found happiness within, all the answers to my empty
dreams and all that might have been

I love and miss you soooo very much, I'll always be near by
My body's gone forever
But my spirit will never die

So you must go on now and live one day at a time
Until we meet again

Just understand:

God didn't take me from you, he only took my hand!!!!

Good News!
The bill that we having been pushing and praying for to make it mandatory to screen for MRSA in all ICU units in the state of ILLnois has been passed. What a wonderful victory.
